Consular legalization of documents in Kazakhstan

Full legalization chain for countries that do not accept the apostille: notary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, consulate — handled end to end.

Countries that are not parties to the Hague Apostille Convention — for example the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt and Malaysia — accept foreign documents only after consular legalization. This is a chain of certifications: typically the document is notarized or certified, then authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, then legalized by the consular section of the destination country's embassy.

Every consulate has its own rules on translations, fees, appointment systems and processing times, and these change. We track the current requirements, prepare the translation in the right language, and walk your document through each office.

For commercial documents — contracts, company documents, certificates of origin — some countries also require certification by the chamber of commerce. We include that step where needed.

Questions and answers

How do I know whether I need an apostille or consular legalization?

It depends on the destination country. If it is a party to the Apostille Convention, an apostille is enough; if not, consular legalization is required. Check our country pages or simply tell us the country.

Do I need to visit the embassy myself?

In most cases no. We submit and collect documents on your behalf. A few consulates require personal attendance for specific documents; we tell you in advance.

Are consular fees included in the price?

Consular and state fees are shown separately in your quote, so you see exactly what goes to the authorities and what is our service fee.

Can you legalize documents for the UAE?

Yes. The UAE is not a party to the Apostille Convention, so documents from Kazakhstan go through consular legalization, and in the UAE are usually attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs afterwards.
