Apostille in Kazakhstan — documents apostilled for use abroad
We obtain the apostille from the competent Kazakh authority so your document is recognised in all member states of the Hague Apostille Convention.
Kazakhstan has been a party to the Hague Apostille Convention since 30 January 2001. An apostille is a standard certificate that confirms the signature and seal on a public document, so that it can be used in another member state without consular legalization.
In Kazakhstan the apostille is issued by the authority responsible for the type of document: civil registry and notarial documents, education documents, court documents and police or criminal record certificates each go through their own channel. We identify the right authority, prepare the document, submit it and collect it for you.
Often a translation is also needed — before or after the apostille, depending on the destination country. We plan the order of steps so the document is accepted the first time.

Questions and answers
Which countries accept an apostille from Kazakhstan?
All states that are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, including Germany, the USA, Turkey, China (since November 2023), Canada (since January 2024) and Vietnam (since September 2026). Countries outside the convention, such as the UAE or Qatar, require consular legalization instead.
Can the apostille be put on a copy?
For many documents an apostille can be placed on a notarized copy, which lets you keep your original. Some documents, such as certain education or court documents, must be apostilled on the original. We confirm this for your document.
Can you apostille documents issued in another country?
An apostille can only be issued by the country that issued the document. Through ABC Translation offices and partners abroad we arrange apostilles on foreign documents, for example a German or US birth certificate.
How long does an apostille take?
Timing depends on the authority and the document type. You receive a deadline with your quote; urgent processing is possible for many documents.
