Document legalization for the United Arab Emirates
Consular legalization
The United Arab Emirates is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, so an apostille is not accepted. Documents from Kazakhstan go through consular legalization: they are typically notarized, authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and then legalized by the embassy or consulate of the United Arab Emirates.
Consulates set their own rules on translations, fees and processing times. We prepare the translation into Arabic where required and submit the documents on your behalf.
After legalization at the UAE embassy, documents are usually also attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs once they arrive in the Emirates.
Need documents from the United Arab Emirates for use in Kazakhstan? Through ABC Translation's international network we arrange the apostille or legalization in the United Arab Emirates and translate the documents into Kazakh or Russian here.
